Krakatau volcano eruption disrupts flights and schools in Indonesia
The Krakatau volcano in Indonesia erupted early on September 6, sending an ash plume soaring 50,000 feet into the sky. This eruption led to the suspension of flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport from 5:30 am to 9:30 am, affecting over 200 flights and prompting school closures.
