IOA denies BCCI special accommodation request for Asian Games

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has rejected the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) request for special accommodation during the Asian Games in Hangzhou. The IOA has assigned the cricket team to stay at the three-star APA Hotel Nagoya Ekimae, maintaining uniform lodging standards for all sports contingents.

The IOA clarified that there will be no special rooms or separate arrangements for the cricket team at the Asian Games. The cricket squad will be accommodated alongside other athletes to ensure fairness and consistency in lodging. This decision was communicated following the BCCI's appeal for exclusive accommodation, which the IOA declined to grant.

The three-star APA Hotel Nagoya Ekimae has been designated as the official stay for the cricket team. The IOA emphasized that this arrangement aligns with their policy of equal treatment for all sports disciplines participating in the Games.
