India secures semifinal spot by defeating Hong Kong by 137 runs

On September 5, in the Women's Asia Cup match, India entered the semifinals by defeating Hong Kong by 137 runs. The Indian team achieved this victory with a powerful innings of 124 runs by Smriti Mandhana and three wickets by Deepti Sharma.

India batted first and scored 193 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Smriti Mandhana scored her second T20I century in 57 balls, hitting 14 fours and 7 sixes. She set the record for the highest runs and most centuries by a player in women's T20 international cricket.

Chasing a target of 194 runs, Hong Kong struggled from the start. Their team was completely restricted to 56 runs and lost five wickets within 5 runs. Deepti Sharma took three wickets for India.
