Indian woman cricketer Smriti Mandhana has set two new world records in women's international cricket. By scoring a century in the T20 match against Hong Kong, she earned the distinction of being the highest run-scorer and the woman cricketer with the most centuries.

The Indian team got the chance to bat first against Hong Kong. The start was slow, but Mandhana quickly picked up pace and completed her second T20 international century in 57 balls. In this innings, she hit 14 fours and 7 sixes. Thanks to Mandhana's innings, India scored 195 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs.

With this century, Mandhana became the player with the most centuries in women's cricket, breaking the record of Australia's Meg Lanning. Additionally, by hitting two consecutive sixes, she also became the first cricketer to score the most runs in women's international cricket. This achievement saw her surpass her former captain Mithali Raj.

Mandhana scored 124 runs in 64 balls with aggressive batting before getting run out. This is the highest individual score in T20 internationals in Indian women's cricket. Earlier, she had scored 112 runs against England at Trent Bridge in 2025.

After Mithali Raj's retirement, Mandhana has emerged as the biggest batting star in Indian women's cricket. She has surpassed Mithali's record of 10,868 runs, achieving the new milestone of being the highest run-scorer in women's cricket.

Mandhana said she was not aware of this record. She said, "The opposing team bowled very disciplined during the powerplay." This achievement also signals the beginning of a new era in Indian women's cricket batting.

The Indian women's team has recorded three centuries in T20 internationals so far, with Mandhana registering two of them. In terms of most centuries in women's cricket, Mandhana has left Meg Lanning behind.

This achievement has given new recognition to Indian women's cricket and Mandhana's batting has strengthened the team.
