Accused Lost Control Near U-Turn in Gurugram Hit-And-Run Case

The accused in the Gurugram hit-and-run case admitted losing control near a U-turn but denied deliberately hitting the biker. The incident involved about 20 to 22 motorcyclists speeding past the accused’s vehicle, according to his statement. Authorities have identified the accused and formed three special teams to apprehend him, police said.

The accused, Kalyan Bainsla, acknowledged fault for the accident but rejected claims of intentional harm. He said, "I lost control near a U-turn. About 20 to 22 motorcyclists sped past me." The victim’s father, Roshan Chauhan, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party, confirmed that police have identified the accused and three special teams are working to arrest him.

The victim questioned the accused’s claim of feeling sorry, asking why he did not stop after the incident. Videos from the scene show the vehicle chasing the biker before impact, with one video capturing the car moving from the first lane to the third lane and hitting her, and another from the biker’s camera showing her fall. Police have taken cognizance of the matter based on these videos and are investigating.

The case has raised concerns about road safety in Gurugram and Delhi. The accused’s lawyer stated that he is scared and currently untraceable. The investigation continues as authorities seek to bring the accused to justice.
