Bomb Threat to Gurugram Municipal Corporation Office, Police Investigating
After receiving a bomb threat to the Municipal Corporation office located in Sector-34, Gurugram, security agencies have started an investigation. The threatening email was sent directly to the Commissioner's office, after which the premises were evacuated and police along with the bomb disposal squad began their investigation.
The threatening email contained warnings of explosions at several locations and objectionable messages. Upon receiving the information, the Municipal Corporation officials and employees evacuated the office. The police cleared the entire premises, took control with security forces, and started a thorough search of every corner.
The police are investigating the source of the email and identifying the sender. Earlier, in June 2026, the same office had also received a bomb threat, and the premises were evacuated and searched then as well, but no suspicious items were found.
Previously, schools and other government offices in Gurugram have also received bomb threats via email. Considering such cases, the police and security agencies are investigating this threat seriously.
On July 31, the Gurugram court complex and the mini secretariat also received bomb threats. At that time, bomb and dog squad teams arrived at the scene and conducted investigations. This time too, the police and bomb disposal squad took immediate action.
