Mirzapur The Movie Released in Theaters, Audience Gets Special Raw Flavor
'Mirzapur The Movie' directed by Gurmeet Singh has been released in theaters on September 4. The film features popular characters like Guddu Pandit and Kaleen Bhaiya, whom the audience will see again. The advance booking has grossed Rs 8.9 crore, reflecting the audience's eagerness.
A trade analyst wrote that the film shows a raw flavor and its biggest strength is the writing, which is quite sharp and crisp. It also has good punchlines. The overall occupancy of the film is said to be around 13.1 percent.
According to the latest tracking data from Track Tollywood, 3,13,785 tickets have been sold so far. These tickets have been sold for 10,977 shows in 1,910 theaters spread across 688 cities.
The film was released on the occasion of Janmashtami holiday, which is expected to increase spot bookings and theater footfall. If the audience response is good, the opening could reach around Rs 30 crore.
The film features actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, and Shriya Pilgaonkar.
The makers have produced this film under the banner of Excel Entertainment by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, which also includes Amazon MGM Studios.
The audience has considered Ravi Kishan's entry special. One viewer said, "Ravi Kishan's entry as Babua Yadav immediately breathes new life into the story."
