18 Vacancies in Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools of Fatehabad

There are 18 vacant posts in five Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools of Fatehabad, including three in-charge positions. This is affecting the administrative and academic arrangements of the schools. The Education Department has started the process of giving retired teachers the opportunity to be appointed to fill the vacancies.

In the district’s Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools located in Nahla, Kumharia, Khai, Jamalpur Shekhan, and Kiradhan, a total of 18 posts are vacant. These include three English, one Hindi, four Mathematics, two Political Science, one Economics, two History, and two Sanskrit PGT posts.

In three schools—Nahla, Kumharia, and Kiradhan—the in-charge posts are vacant, which is affecting the daily administrative arrangements of the schools. The primary challenge before the department is to appoint officers to take responsibility for these posts.

The appointment process for the vacant posts for the academic session 2026-27 has been started. Appointments will be on an agreement basis, and the services of selected employees will continue until March 31, 2027, or until regular arrangements are made.

Retired teachers are also being included in the appointment process. Candidates up to the age of 64 years can apply, with priority given to female applicants. Applications can be submitted until September 8, and interviews will be held on September 11 at 10 a.m.

The in-charge will be paid a monthly honorarium of Rs 30,000 and PGT teachers Rs 20,000. The services of experienced teachers will help temporarily fill the vacant posts and maintain the study environment in the schools.

Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools provide quality education with residential facilities to the students. However, the vacancy of in-charge posts is affecting teaching work and administrative arrangements. The department has taken steps to improve this situation.

A one-day dental health and oral screening camp was organized in the schools to raise awareness about the health of the students. In this camp, the teeth and mouth of a total of 400 students were examined.

The students were made aware of the importance of healthy mouths and teeth and given practical training on the correct brushing technique. Doctors advised brushing twice a day and regular check-ups with a dentist.
