India to Gain Continuous Earth Monitoring Capability with EOS-05 Satellite

The Indian Space Research Organisation is preparing to launch the first Earth observation satellite operating in geosynchronous orbit under the EOS-05 mission. This satellite will continuously monitor India and surrounding areas from an altitude of about 36,000 kilometers.

The EOS-05 mission will give a new direction to India's Earth monitoring capability.
