Bera village's unpaved roads worsen after rain, travel difficult

ALWAR। In Alwar district's Bera village, the condition of unpaved roads has deteriorated after the rain. Due to mud and waterlogging, walking has become difficult and there is a risk of two-wheelers slipping. Villagers have demanded immediate relief from the administration.

Since Bera village falls in the Sariska forest area, constructing paved roads here requires several procedures including permission from the Forest Department. Because of this, a permanent solution to the road problems has not been found for a long time.

After rain, water accumulates on many unpaved roads in the village, creating muddy and swampy conditions. This causes difficulties in commuting and often people have to take alternate routes. Two-wheeler riders also face the risk of slipping.

Villagers say that until paved roads are constructed, the administration should make the roads passable by laying soil and gravel. Besides this, there is also a need to improve drainage, electricity, water, and other basic facilities.

Villagers have also complained about an increase in mosquito infestation due to water accumulation. They said complaints have been made earlier about this problem as well, but no permanent solution has been found yet.
