On 4 September 2026, the sacred festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated across the country. On this day, offering Laddu Gopal his favorite bhog during the worship is considered auspicious, through which devotees receive the blessings of Lord Krishna. According to religious beliefs, offering bhog brings happiness, peace, and economic prosperity in life.

In Janmashtami worship, makhan laddu is considered the most important bhog because Lord Krishna loved butter very much. He is also known as Makhanchor. Offering makhan-mishri bhog brings happiness and peace in life. Besides this, coriander panjiri is also offered as bhog. To make panjiri, dry coriander is roasted in ghee and mixed with dry fruits, makhana, and sugar. Distributing it as prasad is also considered auspicious. Eating panjiri brings the blessings of Lord Krishna and good health.

To receive the grace of Lord Krishna, makhana kheer should be offered as bhog during the auspicious muhurat of Janmashtami worship. Makhana kheer can include milk, dry fruits, and saffron. Offering makhana kheer at midnight brings economic prosperity. Along with this, Laddu Gopal can be anointed with Panchamrit. Panchamrit is made by mixing milk, ghee, curd, honey, and sugar, to which tulsi leaves can also be added.

On the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, Panchmewa, which includes cashew nuts, raisins, almonds, dried dates, and makhana, is also offered as bhog. Using copper or silver vessels to offer bhog is considered auspicious. Offering bhog by placing it on banana, mango, or palash leaves is also considered auspicious.
