Youth Arrested with 1 Kg Opium in Hanumangarh

HANUMANGARH। The police of Goluwala police station in Hanumangarh have arrested a youth from Phalodi district with 1 kg of opium during an action against drug trafficking. The seized opium is valued at approximately 5 lakh rupees. The police are interrogating the accused and investigating the supply network.

Under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Arvind and CO Hanumangarh Meenakshi, a police team led by Goluwala police station in-charge Rajandeep Kaur was patrolling on Firozwala-Lakhasar road. During this, near Rohi 14 LZJW/B, 1 kilogram of illegal opium was recovered from the possession of the youth. The police arrested the accused on the spot.

The arrested youth has been identified as Subhash Chandra (27), son of Nimbaram Vishnoi, a resident of Udaniyon ki Dhani in Sanwarij of Phalodi district. The police have registered a case against the accused under sections 8/18 of the NDPS Act and started an investigation.

The police are interrogating the accused to find out where the opium was brought from and where it was to be supplied. The role of other people connected to the network is also being investigated. The action included Goluwala police station's sub-inspector Gurudev Singh, constable Vikramjeet, constable Surjeet Singh, and constable Sanjay.

According to the police, a special campaign is being conducted in the district to stop drug trafficking and take action against drug smugglers. This campaign will continue continuously. Further investigation of the case is being conducted by the station officer Rajiv Royal of Sadar police station.
