Monsoon Active Again in Rajasthan, Rainfall Expected from September 3 to 7

THERE। The monsoon has become active again in Rajasthan, and rainfall is likely to continue in the eastern parts between September 3 and 7. The Meteorological Department issued an immediate weather warning on the morning of September 3, forecasting rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder in several districts.

According to the Jaipur Weather Center, on September 3, light to moderate rain with thunder is expected in the districts of Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi, Kota, and Ajmer. During this period, strong winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour are likely. Rainfall is expected at some places in the Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota, and Udaipur divisions of eastern Rajasthan.

Rainfall may also occur at some places in the Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions of western Rajasthan, but monsoon activity there will remain relatively weak. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of thunder, lightning, and strong winds from September 4 to 6 in several districts including Ajmer, Alwar, Baran, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and Tonk.

Heavy rainfall is likely on September 4 and 5 in some parts of the Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota, and Udaipur divisions. After that, a decrease in rainfall is expected on September 7 and 8. The Meteorological Department has stated that from September 8, rainfall activity will decrease in most parts of the state.

The Weather Center also reported that due to the influence of a low-pressure area formed over western Jharkhand and northeastern Madhya Pradesh, rainfall activity is likely to increase in eastern Rajasthan. The monsoon trough line is passing through Sri Ganganagar, Rohtak, and surrounding areas, which may initiate rainfall in the eastern parts.

On September 3, the highest rainfall of 27 millimeters was recorded in Rupwas, Bharatpur district. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued for Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi, Kota, and Bhilwara districts.

Rainfall will continue for the next few days in eastern Rajasthan, while the monsoon is expected to remain weak in western Rajasthan. Monsoon activity will also remain weak in most parts of the Jodhpur division.

The Meteorological Department has forecast that rainfall activity will weaken in most parts of the state by September 14. Temperatures may remain 1 to 2 degrees Celsius above normal.
