Youth Dies Due to Electric Shock in Sirsa Kalar

SIRSA KALAR। In the Narwal police station area of Sirsa Kalar, 30-year-old Istiyak died on Thursday evening due to an electric shock while charging an e-rickshaw. Family members said the accident happened while he was charging the rickshaw.

According to the family, Istiyak supported his family by driving an e-rickshaw. He had returned home late in the evening with the rickshaw and was preparing to put it on charge. During this, he came into contact with an electric current flowing through a cut charger cable.

Relatives rushed him to Narwal CHC in a hurry, where doctors declared him dead. Upon receiving the news of the death, the family informed the police by calling 112.

Police from Narwal police station arrived at the scene and inspected the site. They questioned the family and completed the inquest report before sending the body for postmortem. The station in-charge said that during questioning, it was revealed that the death was due to electric shock.

Istiyak's family includes his wife Shaina and two children, Ashiyan and Ayat. The sudden death has brought immense grief to the family. Further action will be taken based on the postmortem report.
