Vehicle Entry Banned Around ISKCON Temple in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA। On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami in Ludhiana, vehicle entry will be completely banned at the ISKCON temple and surrounding roads. SP Sagar Kumar stated that this arrangement will be effective from morning until the conclusion of the Janmashtami program. Three DSPs and 150 personnel have been deployed for security.

Entry of all types of vehicles including private vehicles, autos, e-rickshaws, and mini buses will be restricted around the ISKCON temple and Buddha Marg. Movement on the GPO flyover and Adalatganj road will be completely closed. Vehicles coming from Kotwali will be diverted towards Patna Junction via Dak Bangla Chowraha.

Vehicles going towards the ISKCON temple from under the GPO will be diverted towards R-Block. Vehicles coming from Fraser Road towards Srinivas Path and from Bandar Baghicha towards Buddha Marg will also be stopped.

To reduce vehicle pressure in the restricted area, the administration has arranged parking at Mauryalok, Buddha Smriti Park, GPO, Multi-Modal Hub, and Miller High School premises.

For security arrangements, three DSPs, 50 police officers, and 100 personnel have been deployed. Dolphin teams and mobile teams from the traffic OP will patrol continuously. Strict surveillance is being maintained on antisocial elements to prevent incidents like mobile and purse thefts. Devotees have been advised to remain vigilant about the security of their belongings.

The Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival was also organized in Hubballi the previous day.
