Janmashtami is being celebrated with great enthusiasm on September 4 in temples across the state including Karauli. This time, an astrological alignment has occurred after 15 years, similar to the time of Lord Krishna's birth in the Dwapar Yuga.

According to Karauli astrologer Pandit Manish Upadhyay, the auspicious period of Nishith Kaal on the night of September 4 will start at 11:57 PM and last until midnight 12:43 AM. During this time, worship of Lord Shri Krishna holds special significance.

According to astrological calculations, this time there is a great conjunction of the Ashtami tithi with Rohini nakshatra and the moon's presence in the Taurus zodiac sign. Along with this, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Harshan Yoga, Budhaditya Yoga, Malavya Yoga, and Hans Yoga are also occurring simultaneously, which enhance the religious importance of this day.

Devotees should perform the Panchamrit abhishek of the statue of Bal Gopal at this time. After this, it is necessary to bathe with pure water, apply sandalwood tilak, and dress the idol in yellow clothes. Then fragrant flowers and perfume should be offered along with butter-mishri and sattvic offerings.

It is believed that worshipping in this manner during Nishith Kaal brings happiness, prosperity, and peace to the family. Nighttime Nishith Kaal worship on Janmashtami is given special importance because Lord Shri Krishna was born at midnight.
