Two Trailers Loaded with Quartz Seized in Salumber
SALUMBER। Police have taken action against illegal mining and unlawful transportation of minerals in Salumber district. Two trailers loaded with quartz stones were seized during a night patrol, and the drivers did not have valid documents.
Salumber police station, under the instructions of District Superintendent of Police Vishnaram, stopped and inspected two trailers loaded with quartz stones at different locations. The police team, led by Station Officer Mukesh Nagda and supervised by Additional Superintendent of Police Ratan Chawla and Salumber Circle Officer Rajiv Rahar, conducted the operation.
According to the police, Head Constable Shambhusinh was patrolling the police station area in vehicle number 112 Bolero. During this, a trailer was seen coming from the bypass road near the RTO circle. The driver identified himself as Rajendra Banjara, a resident of Bodigama Hamirpura in the Kalinjara police station area of Banswara district. When asked for valid documents, he could not produce any papers.
Station Officer Mukesh Nagda was also on patrol with his police team. He stopped and inspected another trailer coming from the bypass road in the Adkaliya area. The driver gave his name as Mohanlal Katara, a resident of Nangarchi Badla in Garhi, Banswara district. He also did not have valid mineral transportation documents.
Based on a report from the Mineral Department, the quartz loaded in both vehicles was being transported illegally. Police have taken action under MMDR and MMCR in both cases.
