Redmi 17 5G launched in India with 7,900mAh battery and 120Hz display

TECHNOLOGY DESK। Redmi has launched its new 5G smartphone Redmi 17 5G in India. According to the company, this phone delivers balanced performance for everyday apps, multitasking, entertainment, and gaming. It features a large 7,900mAh battery and a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Redmi 17 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 4-series processor, based on a 4nm process, with an octa-core CPU having a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz. The company has specially designed it for users who want a large battery, big screen, 5G connectivity, and better performance.

The phone comes with a 7,900mAh battery that supports long hours of streaming, gaming, social media, and multitasking. It also supports 45W fast charging and features 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing it to charge other compatible devices.

The display is a 6.9-inch (17.53 centimeters) LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and 825 nits HBM brightness. For eye comfort, it has TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light, Circadian Friendly, and Flicker Free. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. AI-based camera features help enhance photos.

The phone has dual stereo speakers, providing a better audio experience while watching videos, listening to music, and gaming.

The Redmi 17 5G is launched in Absolute Black, Endless Blue, and Eternal Orange color options, with the Eternal Orange featuring a vegan leather finish.

The variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage has a national exit price of ₹23,999, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹26,999 nationally. The MRP is set at ₹39,999 and ₹41,999 respectively.
