4,195 New Posts Created for Emergency Service in Odisha Police
Odisha Police Headquarters has created a total of 4,195 new posts under the third phase of the emergency service system. Following the Home Department's instructions and the DGP's approval, these posts have been allocated to various districts and police commissionerates across the state. This will help make police service faster, stronger, and more effective.
Koraput district has been allotted 212 posts, while Kendujhar has been allocated 202 posts. Anugul, Ganjam, and Sambalpur have each received 192 posts, Baleshwar and Rourkela 183 posts each. Jajpur and Puri have 172 posts each, and Balangir has 163 posts created.
Rural Cuttack has been allotted 153 posts, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Rayagada 142 posts each, Rairangpur 138, Baragarh 123, and Mayurbhanj 113 posts. Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, and Nabarangpur have 103 posts each, while Kendrapara, Malkangiri, Nayagarh, and Sundargarh have 92 posts each created.
Brahmapur and Jharsuguda have 83 posts each, and Gajapati has 74 posts. Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nuapada, and Sonepur have 73 posts each, Cuttack UPD 64, Baudh 54, and Deogarh 34 posts allocated. Bhubaneswar UPD has 12 posts and SP Headquarters has six posts.
The creation and allocation of new posts will make emergency police service more effective in the state and also create new employment opportunities in the police department.
