The festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Friday at Adarsh Vidya Mandir Secondary School in Jhalawar. Ninety students dressed as Radha-Krishna and performed various cultural presentations.

The program started at 8 AM and continued until midnight. During this time, live tableaux based on the life and pastimes of Lord Shri Krishna were displayed, with the killing of Bakasur and Radha-Krishna tableaux being the main attractions.

Students participated in the Radha-Krishna look-alike competition, and there was a lively dandiya session along with bhajans and kirtans. The dandiya performance by young girls captivated the audience.

Principal Keshuram Patidar stated that children presented acts such as Makhan Chor, Raslila, Matki Phod, dance dramas, and short plays during the event.

The tableaux of Shri Krishna and the beautiful costumes of the children added color to the program. Parents Devyani and Neeta Kumari also danced to Shri Krishna’s bhajans.

At the end of the program, makhan-mishri and panjiri prasad were distributed to the attendees. The school teachers played an important role in making the event successful.
