Sanitation Workers in Fatehabad, Hansi, Jhajjar Protest Against Government with Mass Head Shaving

Sanitation workers of the municipal councils in Fatehabad, Hansi, and Jhajjar protested against government policies by mass head shaving. They have been on an indefinite strike for the past month and have resolved to continue the movement despite notices and dismissals.

Protest Against the Government

In Jhajjar, sanitation workers, under the call of the Municipal Employees Union, shouted slogans against the government and burned an effigy. The workers said that their demands have been raised before the government for a long time, but their voices are not being heard. Considering the government and its representatives as dead, they protested by mass head shaving.

In Fatehabad, the strike by sanitation and fire brigade workers has also completed one month. Here, 14 permanent employees have been suspended and 10 fire brigade leaders have been dismissed from their jobs. The workers said they are not afraid of threats of FIRs, jail, or dismissal.

In Hansi, sanitation workers are also on strike for the 30th day. They protested against the government by mass head shaving in the municipal council premises. Three workers who have been temporary employees for many years also resolved to continue the strike.
