The Indian Space Research Organisation is preparing to launch the first Earth observation satellite operating in geosynchronous orbit under the EOS-05 mission. This satellite will continuously monitor India and surrounding areas from an altitude of about 36,000 kilometers.

The EOS-05 mission will give a new direction to India's Earth monitoring capability. Until now, India's Earth Observation Satellites operated in low Earth orbit, where they had to orbit the Earth repeatedly to keep an eye on a specific area. After being placed in geosynchronous orbit, this satellite will be able to continuously monitor a large area.

This satellite is equipped with advanced cameras and sensors that collect information related to the Earth's surface. It will study clouds and weather systems and monitor disasters such as floods, cyclones, and landslides.

Data obtained from ISRO's Earth Observation Satellites is used in fields such as agriculture, water resources, urban planning, environment, and disaster management. The information from EOS-05 will help make farming more scientific and assist governments in formulating agricultural policies and providing timely support to farmers.

In the era of changing weather, heavy rainfall, cyclones, and sudden disasters pose major challenges. Satellites like EOS-05 will strengthen the monitoring of weather systems and natural events. Its data will be useful in identifying flood-affected areas, studying cloud activities, and better planning of relief operations.

Space-based monitoring has become an important part of the world's strategic power today. EOS-05 will provide India the capability to continuously monitor large areas. Such technology plays a crucial role in monitoring border areas, the status of important regions, and strategic planning.

India is now moving forward not only as a satellite-launching country but also as a major center for space-based services. The use of Earth Observation data is increasing in agriculture, insurance, infrastructure, disaster management, and private industries. Projects like EOS-05 will help strengthen India's Space Economy.

This satellite will not only take images but will become a space-based solution providing important information for sectors like agriculture, weather, disaster management, and national security.
