Adani Group's Business Growing Even in Non-BJP Ruled States

PTI। Adani Group has rapidly expanded its business in Congress and other non-BJP ruled states. The group is working on projects worth nearly five lakh crore rupees in sectors such as roads, ports, electricity, renewable energy, cement, and data centers in these states.

In Karnataka, Adani Enterprises has submitted the lowest bid for a 16.75-kilometer-long tunnel road project connecting Hebbal and Central Silk Board in Bengaluru. The group already has a presence in Karnataka, including a 1200 MW power plant in Udupi and Mangalore International Airport.

In Kerala, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone has developed the Vizhinjam International Port, which was initiated during the previous Left Front government and progressed under the current Congress government. The group also operates the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport and laid the foundation stone for a logistics park costing over 600 crore rupees in Kochi in 2025.

In Telangana, the Congress government signed four memorandums of understanding with Adani Group companies in January 2024 for investments worth 12,400 crore rupees. In Tamil Nadu, agreements for investments exceeding 42,700 crore rupees were also made in 2024 during the then MK Stalin government.

In Himachal Pradesh, the group is developing a fruit supply chain for local farmers, especially apple growers, and also operates a cement business in the state.
