Xi Jinping to Attend BRICS Summit in New Delhi, China Confirms

China has confirmed that President Xi Jinping will attend the BRICS Summit in New Delhi. President Xi Jinping's participation in the BRICS Summit was confirmed by Chinese sources shortly before the event began. This confirmation followed reports of Russian aircraft landing in India, marking the first foreign landing at Noida Airport in preparation for the summit. The arrival of Russian planes precedes scheduled meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as talks with Xi Jinping.

The summit agenda is expected to focus on critical issues such as oil, defence, and the situation in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has also arrived in India ahead of the summit, with President Putin expected to arrive shortly.
