South Indian Doctor Expresses Love for Awadhi Language
SOUTH INDIAN DR.। South Indian doctor Anita Mishra has learned the Awadhi language along with Hindi during her posting in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. She said that speaking Awadhi brings her joy and she really enjoys talking to patients in their local language.
Dr. Anita Mishra is originally from Mangalore, Karnataka. She learned to speak Hindi after marriage, but her attachment to the Awadhi language grew after coming to Uttar Pradesh. Through continuous conversations with patients, she learned many words and the style of speaking Awadhi.
Dr. Mishra says that when a patient tells her about their ailments in Awadhi, she feels very good. The way patients describe their problems in local words feels like poetry to her. She also shared many amusing and native styles of patients speaking in a video.
The doctor says that Awadhi is not a language that can be fully learned through a course. It is a lifelong journey of learning. She says the more Awadhi you learn, the less it feels. Jai Awadhi, Jai Gonda.
