90 Candidates in the Electoral Fray in 25 Wards of Sawai Madhopur Khandar

SAWAI MADHOPUR। A total of 90 candidates are finally in the electoral fray in the 25 wards of Khandar Municipal Council in Sawai Madhopur. After the completion of the nomination process and withdrawal of names, BJP and Congress have 25 candidates each facing off.
After the withdrawal of names, the contest in several wards will also be triangular or multi-cornered, including independent and BSP candidates.
A total of 207 nomination applications were received in Khandar Municipal Council, out of which 164 were submitted and 43 forms were withdrawn. After scrutiny of nomination papers and withdrawal of names, now 90 candidates are in the electoral fray.
BJP and Congress both have 25 candidates each facing off in all 25 wards. In addition, one candidate each from Bahujan Samaj Party and National Democratic Party are also in the fray. Five independent candidates are also contesting the election.
On the last day of withdrawal, candidates withdrew their names, which clarified the electoral equation. The possibility of a direct contest between BJP and Congress has increased in several wards due to the withdrawal of independent candidates. Meanwhile, in some wards, the contest will remain triangular or multi-cornered.
Political parties are now focusing on voters and finalizing their strategies. Candidates will be active in the wards with their supporters to win over voters. Local issues and the grip of candidates will determine the direction of the electoral contest.
