JDU MLA Anant Singh from Mokama has made a significant political move regarding the upcoming Legislative Council election. He has made it clear that he will stand with Anuj Singh in the MLC election and will not support the incumbent JDU MLC Neeraj Kumar.

Anant Singh said among supporters in Bedhna, 'Whoever stands with me, we will support them.' He announced full support for Anuj Singh at all levels. He clarified, 'Why should we support those who do not support us?' This statement is being seen as a direct political message against Neeraj Kumar.

Anant Singh is considered to have a strong hold in Mokama, Baadh, and surrounding areas. This move poses a threat to the JDU vote bank. He claims to have supporters in 26 assembly constituencies.

Anant Singh’s public declaration of support for Anuj Singh upon reaching Bedhna is being regarded as an important message in local politics. This is not just an announcement of support for a single candidate but also an attempt to showcase his political influence and the strength of his supporters ahead of the upcoming MLC election.

The current MLC Neeraj Kumar is considered very close to JDU chief Nitish Kumar and has been elected MLC three consecutive times from the Patna Graduate constituency. This time, his victory does not seem easy as Anant Singh’s rebellious stance has increased difficulties for the party.

Political differences between Anant Singh and Neeraj Kumar have been discussed for a long time, but such an open declaration just before the Legislative Council election indicates major tension within the party.

Dr. Anuj Singh’s morale has risen after Anant Singh’s open support, but it remains to be seen under which election symbol he will contest or if he will run as an independent candidate. The face-off between two prominent JDU leaders before the formal election notification is making the contest for the Patna Graduate seat very interesting this time.

However, the real electoral strength of Anant Singh’s claim will be assessed during the voting.
