PM Modi says truth will defeat echo of lies in Vadodara

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a gathering in Vadodara, Gujarat, on Tuesday, asserting that "truth will defeat jhooth ki goonj" or the "echo of lies." He made these remarks while laying foundation stones and inaugurating development projects valued at more than ₹35,000 crore.

Modi emphasized the importance of connectivity for a developed India, stating that it must be not only convenient but also fast enough to keep pace with the times. He highlighted the role of a modern freight network in accelerating the country's transformation, citing the example of a single freight train transporting cargo equivalent to over 250 trucks from Mumbai to Vadodara in one trip.

The Prime Minister also criticized the Opposition without naming Rahul Gandhi directly, saying that at every corner, there are people who try to mislead the public. He referred to a student-dialogue campaign launched by the Congress and mocked it as "jhooth ki goonj," contrasting it with the youth's march forward under the current government. Modi praised the aura of the people gathered, calling it truly different and expressed his commitment to accelerating the journey towards a "Viksit Bharat" or developed India.
