Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Removes Minister Konda Surekha from Cabinet

HYDERABAD। Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has decided to remove Minister Konda Surekha from the council of ministers. This step was taken following comments made by Surekha's daughter Konda Sushmita against the Chief Minister and other leaders.

According to a statement from the Chief Minister's office, the recommendation to remove Minister Surekha has been sent to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla. The decision was prompted by comments from Konda Sushmita, who made controversial statements about Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Parkal MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy.

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee's disciplinary committee took the matter seriously and issued a notice to Minister Surekha. The committee recommended removing Surekha from the cabinet and also recommended removing Chinna Reddy from the position on the Planning Board. Chinna Reddy's appointment has been canceled with immediate effect.

The Chief Minister has appointed Gadwal Vijayalakshmi as the new vice-chairperson of the Telangana Planning Board. Nerela Sharada has been appointed as the chairperson of the Telangana State Women's Commission, and former Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Rani has been appointed as the chairperson of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority.

She stated that she will decide the next steps after receiving formal confirmation from officials.

She challenged the party leadership to take action against her. During a meeting with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi on Wednesday, she was clearly told that action would be taken against her.

This administrative reshuffle is being seen as a significant change in Telangana politics. The Chief Minister has tried to satisfy OBC leadership by appointing three OBC women from Warangal district to board and corporation chairperson positions.
