BJP wins unopposed in 2 wards in Dungarpur, voting in 38 wards
DUNGARPUR। Out of 40 wards of Dungarpur Municipal Council, BJP councillors have won unopposed in 2 wards. Voting will be held on September 9 in the remaining 38 wards, where BJP, Congress, and Bharat Adivasi Party will compete.
The nomination withdrawal process has been completed. The nomination of the Congress candidate in Ward 23 has been rejected, while the Congress candidate in Ward 28 has withdrawn their nomination. For this reason, only BJP candidates are in the fray in both wards, and their unopposed victory is certain.
Elections will be held in the remaining 38 wards. In 12 of these wards, there will be a triangular contest between BJP, Congress, and Bharat Adivasi Party. In 26 wards, BJP and Congress will face each other directly. Additionally, independent candidates are contesting in 7 wards.
On September 4, all candidates will be allotted their party symbols. Authorized candidates of BJP, Congress, and Bharat Adivasi Party will receive their respective party symbols, while independent candidates will be given separate symbols.
