Ban on Victory Processions in Bundi, Instructions to Conduct Peaceful Elections

Victory processions have been banned after the urban local body elections in Bundi district. The State Election Commission has instructed all returning officers to conduct peaceful and fair elections. The first phase of the election will be on September 9 and the second phase on September 11, 2026.

 Victory processions have been banned after the urban local body elections in Bundi district. The State Election Commission has instructed all returning officers to conduct peaceful and fair elections. The first phase of the election will be on September 9 and the second phase on September 11, 2026.

Deputy District Election Officer and Additional District Collector H.D. Singh stated that all returning officers of the urban local body elections have been ordered to fully comply with the instructions of the State Election Commission. The order clearly states that no member, chairman, or vice-chairman will hold victory processions during the election process and after the results are declared.

According to the election schedule, the first phase of voting will be on September 9 and the second phase on September 11, 2026. Vote counting will take place on September 14 and results will be announced. Subsequently, elections for the chairman position of the urban local body will be held on September 21 and for the vice-chairman position on September 22.

The purpose of the instructions is to ensure that the elections are peaceful and fair, preventing any kind of unrest or dispute. All returning officers must ensure that no victory processions are held and that the election process is completed smoothly.
