In the Pallu tehsil area of Hanumangarh district, nearly 80 percent of the Kharif crops have been damaged due to lack of rain. Farmers have demanded that the administration declare Pallu tehsil drought-affected, conduct a special survey, and ensure at least 25 percent payment immediately from crop insurance companies.

Former district council member Gaurishankar Thori inspected fields in several villages including Malasar, Swaroopdesar, Ladam, Ghaniyasar, Ratnadesar, Doodhli, and Naiyasar to assess crop damage. He informed the administration about the crop damage.

Kharif crops like guar, moong, moth, bajra, and groundnut have been affected due to lack of rain. According to farmers, more than 80 percent of the crops in most fields have been damaged, putting them in financial crisis.

Farmers are worried today seeing their crops destroyed, but no action has been taken yet by the government or administration. Farmers have warned that if their demands are not met, they will hold a large protest.

Social workers Aniruddh Joshi, Mangalaram Bijaraniya, and Rakesh Siyag were also present during the inspection. Commenting on the financial crisis, Thori said, "The current condition of the fields is very bad." He also said, "During the COVID-19 pandemic, farmers played an important role in managing the country's economy and food supply."
