Accused Adil Arrested in Firecracker Factory Explosion Case
SAURIKH। In Kaushambi, police took major action on August 31 in the illegal firecracker factory explosion case by arresting the factory owner's son Adil in an encounter. The incident has resulted in 14 deaths and damage to several houses.
Encounter and Arrest
According to police, based on a tip-off, Adil was found trying to leave the city on a bike. As the police surrounded him, Adil opened fire on the police team. In the retaliatory action, the accused was shot in both legs and was arrested in an injured condition. The injured accused has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Police recovered a 315 bore pistol, one live cartridge, and two blank cartridges from the spot.
Under the direction of SP Satyanarayan Prajapat, four police teams were formed, which were continuously raiding potential locations in search of the accused. Police had already arrested Naushad Ali, Shabana, and Shaina.
Impact of Explosion and Investigation
The illegal firecracker factory explosion has so far claimed 14 lives and damaged several houses. Police interrogation revealed that illegal firecrackers and explosives were being made for financial gain. The search for the factory owner's wife Kahkasa has been intensified, and police claim to have arrested her.
Police and administration have taken action against several firework and firecracker factories linked to Adil. Bulldozer action has also been carried out against illegal constructions and properties. Actions are ongoing regarding buildings worth crores and illegal firecracker storage. Police are investigating the entire network and the roles of other individuals.
When surrounded, Adil fired at the team and in the retaliatory action, the accused was shot in the leg.
