The approximately 750-year-old Radha-Krishna temple located in Jalore city of Rajasthan is known locally as Thakurdwara. This temple is not just a place of worship but also the center of social justice system and tradition of the Mali community. Here, the community's panchas consider the idol of Lord Radha-Krishna as witness and impartially resolve disputes.

The Thakurdwara temple has been the main venue for the panchayat of the five pattis of the Mali community. Whenever there are internal disputes, family disagreements, or issues related to land and property within the community, the panchas and dignitaries gather in the temple premises to make decisions. The functioning of this panchayat is different from other traditional panchayats because the panchas do not consider any human position or pressure but regard the divine idol of Lord Radha-Krishna as the main witness.

The panchas listen to both sides with full dedication and deliver impartial decisions before God. The decisions made with God as witness are accepted by every member of the community with respect and faith.

The temple's architecture is also special. Its thick and strong walls reflect ancient Indian architecture. On sacred festivals like Janmashtami, the temple is specially decorated, creating a devotional atmosphere.

Bhomaram, the president of the temple committee, said that this tradition of justice is still carried out with the same dedication, which keeps the community united and bonded in brotherhood. This temple is not limited to dispute resolution but has also contributed to social reforms.

In 2018, a grand panchayat of the Mali community was held here, where historic decisions were made such as banning the practice of death feasts and curbing extravagance in wedding ceremonies. Thus, this 750-year-old temple remains a sacred center of inspiration and justice for the community even today.
