IndiGo Plane Hits Pole While Parking at Srinagar Airport

SRINAGAR। At around 9:02 AM at Srinagar Airport, IndiGo flight 6E 225 from Navi Mumbai hit a pole while parking. All passengers and crew members are safe.

The incident occurred while parking the aircraft at bay number 06. The collision was with a pole of the Visual Docking Guidance System (वीडीजीएस), which guides the aircraft for safe parking. Passengers and crew members were safely evacuated using manual aircraft stairs.

The cause of the incident will be known only after investigation.

The front part of the aircraft has sustained minor damage, but there are no reports of injuries. Movement of other aircraft at the airport is also continuing smoothly.

The facts and circumstances related to the incident will be investigated by the concerned authorities as per the prescribed procedure
