India and China Commit to Dialogue and Cooperation at BRICS Summit

At the BRICS Summit in Delhi, India and China reaffirmed their commitment to resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy. The external affairs ministry said the Prime Minister reiterated that India stands ready to assist in peace efforts. China pledged to work with India on strategic guidance to enhance cooperation and manage differences.

The two leaders are meeting for the third consecutive year, following their previous encounters in Kazan and Tianjin. China said it will act on the strategic guidance of the leaders, handle bilateral relations from a long-term perspective, and strengthen communication. The goal is to be good neighbours and partners helping each other succeed.

Delhi Police announced restrictions and diversions on several key roads from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm on September 12 to manage the summit-related traffic. The event has drawn global attention as major powers converge to discuss cooperation and growth.

China’s delegation includes senior Communist Party officials, underscoring the importance Beijing places on the summit. The leaders aim for early and substantial harvests from their cooperation, reflecting hopes for a new, sustainable platform for global growth.
