ChatGPT, Claude and Grok Down Worldwide, Millions of Users Affected

Major generative AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok have gone down in several countries around the world. In India alone, more than 2,800 issues were reported on Downdetector related to ChatGPT. Thousands of users in the US also reported similar problems.

By around 8:20 PM, more than 2,800 issues were reported with ChatGPT in India, along with 170 for Claude and over 40 for Grok. At the same time, in the US, more than 35,000 reports were logged for ChatGPT, 1,400 for Claude, and over 1,200 for Grok.

OpenAI has also shared a teaser for Astra. Experts say there are more errors occurring in ChatGPT and Codex. Investigations into the issues related to these services are ongoing. Significant progress has been made in cybersecurity capabilities, reaching an excellent level under the preparedness framework.

The cause of the increased errors in requests on Claude Mythos 5.1, Claude Fable 5.1, and Claude Opus 5 has been identified and work is underway to fix it. Only the affected models are facing issues. Efforts to restore the service as soon as possible continue.
