Joint Director of Social Justice Department Arrested Taking Rs 3 Lakh Bribe in Ajmer

AJMER। In Ajmer, Jaipur ACB arrested Jayprakash Charan, Joint Director of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, for taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh. The action took place on Thursday night at his residence in Vinayak Nagar, under Krishnanganj police station area.

Method of Taking Bribe and Arrest

Jayprakash Charan gave the complainant Rs 3 lakh cash as a bribe in exchange for passing a bill. Family members were also present at the house during this time.

Additional SP Jabarmal stated that there was no middleman involved in demanding the bribe. The Jaipur ACP team took the accused out of the house while the Ajmer ACB team was conducting a search at the residence. Police from the concerned police station also arrived at the scene following the information about the action.

Investigation and Other Aspects

The complainant had filed a complaint against the accused at the SI W ACB outpost in Jaipur. The ACB headquarters team verified the complaint, which confirmed the demand for a bribe.

It has also come to light that a 20 percent commission was demanded for the payment of previous bills. Whether any other officer or employee is involved in the matter will be clear after investigation.

During the action, ACB and police teams reached the colony, causing a stir in the area, and a large number of people were seen standing outside their homes.

After receiving the complaint, the ACB team verified it.
