Applications Open for Class 9 and 11 at Navodaya Vidyalaya in Chamba

CHAMBA। Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Chamba has started the application process for lateral entry selection exams for classes 9 and 11 for the session 2027-28. Interested candidates can apply online until September 30, 2026. The selection exam will be held on April 10, 2027.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has opened applications for admission to classes 9 and 11. Interested and eligible students can register for class 9 at cbseitms.nic.in/2026/nvsix_9 and for class 11 at cbseitms.nic.in/2026/nvsxi_11. The last date to apply is set as September 30, 2026.

The age limit for class 9 applicants is for those born between June 1, 2010, and July 31, 2012. For class 11, the age limit is for candidates born between May 1, 2012, and July 31, 2014.

During application, candidates must upload several essential documents including a valid photo ID, photograph, guardian’s signature, and academic mark sheets. When applying for class 11, a maximum of two streams can be chosen, and for each stream, up to three Navodaya Vidyalayas can be selected as options.

The exam will be held on April 10, 2027, consisting of a total of 100 multiple-choice questions. The exam duration is two and a half hours. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English. Only blue or black ballpoint pens will be used to fill the OMR sheet.

Only those students who are studying in class 10 in a government or recognized school during the academic session 2026-27 can apply. Additionally, the candidate must apply for admission to the Navodaya Vidyalaya in the same district where they are studying and must also be a resident of that district.

Students who have passed class 8 in previous sessions or have appeared in the exam before are not eligible to apply.
