LUDHIANA। Janmashtami celebrations are underway in 108 Krishna temples in Mini Vrindavan of Ludhiana. Religious and cultural programs will be held as before, immersing the town in a devotional atmosphere. Tehsildar R.N. Mishra stated that religious and cultural programs will be held on the occasion of Janmashtami as before. Tableaux have been arranged in several temples including Guman Bihari temple and many temples in Sadar Bazaar. The town is known as Mini Vrindavan because it has 108 Krishna temples.
At ISKCON Janpath’s Shri Radha Gopinath temple, a Janmashtami festival is being organized, where celebrations will begin on Saturday evening at 7 PM. The fair will feature various food stalls and winners of the child costume competition will be awarded. The lively Radha-Krishna selfie point will be a main attraction for devotees.
Temples are crowded with devotees and markets are busy with purchases of deity costumes, decorations, and dry fruits.
