Four Accused Arrested for BSNL Cable Theft in Arnod

PRATAPGARH। Arnod police have arrested four accused in the case of BSNL network cable theft. Stolen cables, two motorcycles, and an iron saw were seized from the accused. After interrogation, the police also caught two other absconding accused.

On September 2, an informer reported that two youths were cutting BSNL cables in the town of Arnod. The police team raided near Rajmahal Gate in Sadar Bazaar and arrested 19-year-old Arjun Chamar and 19-year-old Pankaj Rathore. Two other youths present with them ran away on seeing the police, but they were caught with the help of locals.

The police seized an iron saw used to cut BSNL cables and other items from the accused. A theft case was registered based on the report of BSNL Junior Telecom Officer Vaibhav Kumar.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that they had previously stolen cables from Chupna police station Arnod, Narayangarh district Mandsaur, and Richhabaccha district Mandsaur. The police have produced all four accused in court.
