Al-Qaeda Releases Video of Osama bin Laden’s Son on 9/11 Anniversary

On the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Al-Qaeda released a 50-minute video titled "A Quarter Century of the 11 September Raids". The footage includes unseen images of slain Al-Qaeda chief Ayman Al Zawahiri and features Hamza bin Laden, Osama bin Laden’s son who was reportedly killed in 2019.

Hamza appears multiple times in the video, seated against a cracked mud wall, wearing a traditional white turban with an assault rifle beside him. The deliberate staging serves a dual purpose: establishing Hamza as Osama bin Laden’s successor while invoking the classic visual identity of early global jihadism. The video is the group’s single largest release of declassified presidential daily briefs, offering exceptional transparency into their operations and ideology.
