8 Lakh Rupees and Gold Mangalsutras Stolen in Lalsot
PAPADDA। About 8 lakh rupees in cash and two gold mangalsutras were stolen from a family's house in Nagariyaawas village of Lalsot, Dausa district. The family was sleeping in the veranda on the night of September 2 when the thieves broke the lock of the room and stole the box.
The victim, Rajaram Meena, filed a report at Lalsot police station. He said that on the night of the theft, the family was sleeping in the veranda. The thieves broke the lock of the room and stole the box kept inside. The thieves opened the box’s lock in the field and threw the clothes and items kept inside there.
The box contained about 8 lakh rupees in cash, two gold mangalsutras, and a piggy bank. In the morning, when the family members woke up, they found the room’s lock broken. On searching nearby, the box was found in the field, but the cash and jewelry were missing.
After receiving information about the theft, the family went to Lalsot police station and registered a case against unknown thieves. The police have started an investigation and are examining the CCTV footage installed nearby. Efforts are being made to identify the thieves based on other evidence.
Local people have demanded increased police patrols in the area during nighttime.
