71 Nominations Accepted in Khanpur Municipal Elections

After the withdrawal process in the Khanpur municipal elections was completed, the electoral scenario has become clear. A total of 71 nominations were accepted in 25 wards, while 5 candidates withdrew their nominations. This has clarified the electoral equations.

 After the withdrawal process in the Khanpur municipal elections was completed, the electoral scenario has become clear. A total of 71 nominations were accepted in 25 wards, while 5 candidates withdrew their nominations. This has clarified the electoral equations.

After the withdrawal, 89 candidates remain in the fray across 20 wards. On Thursday, 55 out of 215 candidates withdrew their nominations. The withdrawal of independent candidates has clarified the situation in most wards.

Along with the Khanpur municipal elections, the situation in Bayana municipal elections has also become clear. A total of 156 candidates are contesting in 35 wards of Bayana. The post of municipal chairperson here is reserved for the unreserved female category.

By August 31, a total of 256 nominations were received in Bayana, of which 50 nominations were rejected and 50 candidates withdrew their nominations. To elect the urban government, 29,014 voters will cast their votes in Bayana, including 15,427 males, 13,586 females, and one transgender voter.

Voting for the chairperson post will be held on September 21, and results will be announced the same day. The election for the deputy chairperson will be held on September 22.

In this election, the Aam Aadmi Party has also fielded candidates in 19 wards. In Jhalrapatan, besides BJP and Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party is also contesting. BJP and Congress candidates are present in all 35 wards. There will be triangular contests in 15 wards and four-cornered contests in 7 wards.

From ward number 34, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sunita has withdrawn her nomination.
