Minor schoolgirl raped and threatened by neighbor in Jaipur

JAIPUR। In Jaipur, a neighbor raped a minor schoolgirl. The accused used threats to call her to his room and blackmailed her for money. The police registered a case and arrested the accused following a complaint by the victim's mother.

The victim had come to her grandfather's house after school, where she started talking with the accused neighbor. He coaxed the minor to his room and raped her.

For several days, the accused kept calling her with threats and abused her when she resisted, also threatening to defame her. Along with this, he blackmailed her for money.

When the minor returned home, she told her family about the incident. The police got the victim medically examined, recorded her statement, and registered a case under the POCSO Act.

The police team raided and arrested the accused on Thursday night. The DCP said a woman from Jaipur had filed the report. The accused is a 25-year-old man who lives as a neighbor in the colony.
